Fall Fundraising

There are thousands of reasons why we run. I could personally rattle off at least 20 that come to mind for myself. But perhaps one of the most noble reasons we participate in races is to raise money for an important cause. Some of the Pacers Ambassadors are doing just that.

My personal experience with fundraising has been more challenging than I expected. But that's what makes it rewarding. Just like running. If it weren't a challenge, we probably wouldn't be doing it. It takes persistence, creativity, and a true passion for the cause.

Here is a listing of the Pacers Ambassadors who are raising money for a charity associated with a fall race. We would love to have our readers' support, so don't hesitate to click on the fundraising pages.

Race: Nike Women's Marathon on Oct. 17
Ambassador: Tom Farnam

Reason for choosing the charity: Family members affected by blood cancers and other cancers

Race: Army 10-Miler on Oct. 24
Ambassador: Allie Weiskopf

Reason for choosing the charity: Military men and women give so much, why not help build homes for their families to stay in when they’ve been wounded?

Race: Marine Corps Marathon on Oct. 31

Fundraising Page: Click Here
Reason for choosing the charity: As a career firefighter, burns are a risk that he faces daily. Research, leading to better treatment is paramount in our industry.

  1. Elizabeth, thanks for doing this.

Any Ambassador raising money while they run (or walk) events is giving back to the community in an important way. Thanks to all of you!
