Pacers at the Army Ten-Miler

Last Sunday, over 20,000 runners finished the Army Ten-Miler in Washington, D.C, and Virginia. This event is the largest 10-mile race in America and draws runners from all over the world.

One of the distinguishing factors of this race is its team competition. Teams consist of 4-8 runners and are categorized into various groups. This year, the race had 653 teams. Of course, you don't have to run as part of a team, but the Pacers Ambassadors thought we'd represent our favorite running store by forming some teams.

Reza Mahbod
The first team of note doesn't actually have Pacers Ambassadors on it, but rather super-fast men racing on Team Pacers. They finished 2nd place in the prestigious Open Men category and 4th place out of all 653 teams. Team members included Steve Hallinan, Will Viviani, Matt Barresi, and and Edmund Burke. Their finish times ranged from 50-54 minutes. Wow!

As for the two Ambassadors Team, the first team placed 5 out of 117 in the Open Mixed category. Nice job! The runners were:
Reza Mahbod-- 1:03:21
Erik Price-- 1:04:49
James Whiteside- 1:06:52
Elliott Sellers-- 1:08:56
Darcey Krug-- 1:33:19
Time: 04:48:20

The second team placed 30 out of 117 in the Open Mixed category:
Caldwell Clarke-- 1:20:21
Erika Howder-- 1:32:00
Rebecca Turchin-- 1:34:22
Philip Alcorn-- 1:38:21
David Berver--1:38:38
Time: 05:44:36
Congrats to everyone who raced last Sunday!
