Happy Thanksgiving!
Fabulous, Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteA few more:
-- enthusiastic cheers along a race route
-- being handed an ice-cold bottle of water at a race finish
-- my 8 year-old's interest in running "because Daddy does it"
Happy Thanksgiving!
Ditto on all of these! Especially number 4, perfect weather!
ReplyDeleteI would add...
1. Early morning, late evening runs when no one else is out there.
2. Sharing the joys of running with others and watching them grow in the sport.
3. Cold bananas after a long run; there are few things better on this Earth!
-Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Very nice list! Got all the big stuff!
ReplyDeleteMy only adds would be:
- in this land of traffic, having a sport that does not require you to drive everywhere.
- discovering how deserted such a populated place can be (such as downtown DC) at 7am on a Saturday.
- the great feeling of a new PR!
